Often you need an overview of specific i-properties for a bunch of Inventor drawing.
With this app you are able to creates a list for drawings in a specific directory, with selectable i-properties.
All i-properties are supported.
This application gives you the possibility to do the following with Inventor drawing:
● Export to Pdf format
● Export to Dxf format
● Export to Dwf format
● Export Parts-list to Microsoft Excel.
● Update drawing
● Check in to Vault if available
Read specific i-properties from the Inventor drawing:
● File-name
● Description
● Revision
Additional:
● Error indication.
● Export the list of drawings to a Microsoft word file.
You can choose:
● Normal single process.
● Batch process.
This Inventor add-in adds "two" additional buttons to the Inventor ribbon:
● Arrow up
● Arrow down
With these two buttons it is easy to toggle through the drawing sheets in an Inventor drawing:
● Upwards with "Arrow Up Button",
● Downwards with "Arrow down Button"
via the inventor ribbon.

Do you need to change a line or curve in an Autodesk Inventor Drawing to hidden layer without changing the model file?
This Inventor Add in makes it possible to change the selected line or a drawing curve in a drawing view to another layer, in this case hidden.
Often you need to batch process tasks for a bunch of Inventor drawings.
This Inventor Add in makes it possible to batch process, the following tasks for you within the Inventor application:
● Check Out from Vault
● Update file
● Drawing Black and White
● Replace Drawing Resource
● Drawing Defer Update
● Check in to vault
for Inventor Drawings.
In case you have multi-sheet Autodesk Inventor drawings, and you need to convert them to single sheet drawings, this Add-in will help.
This Add in converts a multi sheet Inventor drawing (2 or more sheets) into single sheets Inventor drawings (2 or more files).
In case you only have a Parts-list in a Microsoft Excel workbook, but no Inventor Assembly/parts structure, and you need this assembly/parts structure, this add in can help.
With this Inventor Add you are able to create an Inventor Assembly structure based on a Microsoft Excel file.
Often you want to prevent the drawing views in a Inventor Drawing from moving.
This Inventor Add in locks the drawing views in the drawing sheet, to prevent them from moving.

How often do you have the issue that the “Auto-Resize Work-planes” function resizes the Work-planes, also taking the invisible features in consideration within an Autodesk Inventor Part or Assembly?
This add-in that makes it possible to resize the Origin Work-planes, taking only the visible features in consideration, because I think this is a missing feature/possibility in Autodesk Inventor.
With this tool the Autodesk Inventor Part or Assembly is more clear.
This Inventor Add in removes the "Adaptively use in assembly" check-mark from the Inventor Partdocument or Inventor Assemblydocument from within the parent Inventor Assembly.
With this add in it is not necessary anymore to open each Inventor Partdocument or AssemblyDocument to un-check the "Adaptively use in assembly" in these documents.
This can be done within the Parent assembly directy.
When you do use the "Edit Model in Place" you often notice that the file is already opened in the current Autodesk Inventor session, and that the "Edit Model in Place" command is grayed out and will not work.
With this add in it is possible to use "Edit Model in Place" also when the file is opened in the the current session of Autodesk Inventor.
When you want to move a Autodesk Inventor Drawing View, you need to select the Drawing View in the "Autodesk Inventor Drawing Browser" first and drag and drop them into the destination Drawing Sheet.
I have always wondered if there is a more graphic possibility to achieve this.
With this Add-in it is now possible to move the selected Autodesk Inventor Drawing Views by only selecting the destination "Drawing Sheet"
Always wondered if it was possible to make a tool that only retrieves the Model Dimensions that are exported as property in the Inventor Parameter box, for Autodesk Inventor.
This Autodesk Inventor Add-in adds a command that will retrieve only the Model Dimensions that have been exported as property in the Inventor parameter box
Long I have searched for a tool that either "disables" specific Add-ins and/or "enables" specific add-ins with a button in the ribbon, for Autodesk Inventor.
With this Add-in for Autodesk Inventor this is now easier possible, with a simple button click.
There was a question if it was possible to create a tool to avoid "Part Number Overwrite" for Autodesk Inventor files.
This default Autodesk Inventor behavior "Part Number overwrite on initial save" is sometimes not appreciated and not wanted.
With this Add-in for Autodesk Inventor it is possible to keep either the default Autodesk Inventor settings, that makes the Part number the same as the file-name (without extension). "Part Number overwrite on initial save"
Or keep the Part Number always the same and don't "Part Number overwrite on initial save".
With this add-in it is much easier to change the drawing format (Sheet Size) and move the Partslist with the Revision Table accordingly to the new location.
Personally I am missing the ability, in Autodesk Inventor, to make a "New Layout Part" in an Autodesk Inventor Assembly with the "BOM Structure" set to "Normal".
Out of the box Inventor will create these layouts with "BOM Structure" set to "Phantom" only.
Because of the above, I have created an add-in which represents you a message box with the possibility to choose between either:
-BOM Normal. (Answer with Yes)
-BOM default/Phantom/as is/ Inventor out of the Box. (Answer with No)
Personally I am missing the ability, in the Autodesk Inventor software, to place the Partslist of an assembly directly on the drawing within the Command "Create Drawing View".
I have created this add in which achieves that directly
In most cases is correct and needed and therefor very helpful.
Maybe something for the next release of Autodesk Inventor.
I was missing the ability, in the Autodesk Inventor software, to align "Drawing View labels" in a drawing with each other.
I have created this add in which makes it possible to align different Drawing View labels.
Because I miss the ability in Autodesk Inventor to open the related model file attached to the ballooning, directly from that ballooning in the drawing environment, I have created this add-in "Open From Balloon". In special this is very helpful if the ballooning refers to a sub-assembly, which cannot be selected and opened directly from the drawing-view.
Maybe a good idea for the Autodesk Inventor team to implement it in future releases of Autodesk Inventor.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
Status implemented:

Because I don't like the idea of editing the "Master/Primary Model State" in Inventor, I have created a simple solution to prevent editing the "Master/Primary Model State" via this add-in.
In the early days the "Master Level Of Detail" was locked for editing by default.
It would be a great idea for Autodesk Team to implement a function that can be set (with a setting) that locks the "Master/Primary" Model State as it was with the "Level Of Details" in earlier releases of Inventor.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/lock-the-quot-master-primary-quot-model-state
This add in makes it possible to add quickly the Flat Pattern text to the Drawing view Label.
There was a question on the Autodesk Inventor Forum, about a missing command that will add sketchblocks from a predefined block library into a Autodesk Inventor part.
The first part shown in the movie is the library part and is stored in the library folder.
This part contains of three blocks.
The second part shown in the movie is the normal part that contains of no blocks.
To add blocks from the library into the part, you use the command: "Get Block From Library", found in the Tools Ribbon of Inventor.
The same idea exists in the 2d drawing environment already, where you have the possibility to import or place sketched symbols into a drawing from a library drawing.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/inventor-sketch-block-add-from-library
I was missing the possiblity in the Autodesk Inventor Software to easily trim solid bodies by only selecting sketch entities or workplanes.
With the command Easy split this is now possible.
As you can see you can either select a single sketchline, sketchspline or workplane. The command will only split all the bodies in the part but will not remove them as the trim command is intended to work.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/easy-split-trim-solid-bodies
When you have forgotten to check the rotation lock for Assembly Insert Constraints, within the Autodesk Inventor software, it is very time consuming to edit each Insert Constraint separately, in special when you have many of them!
With this add in you can lock them directly without the need editing them separately.
There was a case for one of the Inventor users.
The company he works for is switching to a new ERP system and is applying a new company part number to all materials and items used in their designs.
Previously, the part number had a loose format.
For this change, he has been tasked with applying this unique, sequential part number to every row of every family in the custom Content Center libraries that he has. Between the number of families he uses and the variety of materials he uses in each family, there are almost 700 families that need to have this unique part number added to them. This task would be cumbersome, time consuming, and prone to error if he was to do it manually for each family.
There were two questions:
1) What's the fastest way that you can do this?
2) I've been trying to use the Custom Column feature in the Column Properties of the Family Table to create a sequential list of numbers in a column without success. I haven't gotten it to generate a sequential list. It usually creates a single value equal to the Default value.
Please see in the video that in the tool there is a box available creating categories or prefixes. the numbering sequential makes the parts unique.
Also, the new Custom Property can be defined.
Maybe something like this is a good idea for implementation in future releases of Inventor.
Please vote in case you find this worth:
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
Idea Content Center Edit:
I was missing the possibility in the Autodesk Inventor Software to project cutting edges selectively.
The default Autodesk Inventor command: Project Cutting Edges projects all the edges visible within the Inventor View.
This projection contains under most circumstances a bit to many edges, and can be error related.
I created this add-in to project only the cutting edges from the feature selectively chosen.
This means that only relevant edges from relevant features are projected where needed.
All non relevant edges from non relevant features, that can lead into errors are not included.
This means that features that are deleted or changed cannot give an error of missing geometry.
Maybe this is a good idea for future releases of Inventor.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/project-cutting-edges-selectively
There was a question on the Autodesk Inventor Forum, about a missing command that will make it possible to switch the driven Dimensional Constraint in the Inventor Sketch Environment with another Dimensional Constraint.
In this movie I show you the command "Switch Driven Dimension".
After the command "Switch Driven Dimension" is press you are asked to select the First Driven Dimensional Constraint. Than you are asked for a second Non Driven Dimensional Constraint. These two Dimensional Constraints are then tried to be switched.
When the first selection is a non driven Dimensional Constraint, you are warned that this is not a driven dimension.
Maybe this is a good idea to implement in future releases of Autodesk Inventor.
I have add this idea also to the idea-station of Autodesk:
